An overview diagram of my home automation. All is powered by a Kubernetes cluster running on two Rasperry Pi 4, who are attached to my NAS as permanent storage. They host the pods required for the all the automation and communication at home. As input devices there is voice control as well as tablet / phone control. The central steering server is Home Assistant. And currently lights, the garden irrigation, multimedia control, multi-room audio streaming and the window blinds are automated.
